Ronald Lamoreaux Obituary

Everyone at Cowsmo would like to send our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Ronald.

Ronald Clifford Lamoreaux, 70, died Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at his home in Belding,  surrounded by family after a courageous battle with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. A private, family-only burial service has taken place at Saint Patrick Catholic Church, Parnell. Due to the current situation surrounding Covid-19, a Memorial Mass and luncheon will be scheduled by the family for a later date.

Ronald was born on September 24, 1949 in Grand Rapids, he grew up in Comstock Park and the Belding areas. He was a lifelong farmer who loved the land and later in life used his skills as a machinist in the aerospace industry. He was guided by a strong sense of faith and his 49-year marriage to high-school sweetheart and love-of-his-life, Debra. He was a hero to his four children and was adored by his eight grandchildren, whose love of 4-H carries on his agricultural legacy.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Bertha; brother Dan and sister-in-law Kathy; and brother-in-law, Bill Frost.

He is survived by wife Debra (Sailer) Lamoreaux; children Jason (Maura) Lamoreaux, Aaron (Meranda) Lamoreaux, Linnea (Brett) Hurley, and Elizabeth Lamoreaux; grandchildren Weston, Brady, Brody and Owen Hurley, Alexis and Jackson Lamoreaux, Hudson Lamoreaux, and Shea Lamoreaux; and siblings Sharon (David) Miller, Mary (Randy) Sweitzer, Kim Frost and Robert Lamoreaux.

The family extends sincere gratitude to Dr. Brett Brinker and the staff of Spectrum Health Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion and also for the wonderful care he received from Faith Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or the Farm School at the Franciscan Life Process Center in Lowell, Michigan, envelopes are available at the funeral home. Funeral care has been entrusted to Johnson Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding.
