Ronald Kline Obituary

Everyone at Cowsmo would like to send their condolences to the family and friends of Ronald.

Ronald G. Kline, 74, of Edwardsburg, passed away Tuesday May 5, 2020 at his home. He was born Oct. 27, 1945 in Goshen to Maurice and Garldine (Weister) Kline.

Ronald graduated from New Paris High School in 1964 where he ran cross country and later served in the Indiana Army National Guard.

He was a Premier International Holstein Breeder. His mentor and co-partner was Dr. Gerald Snider in the dairy business. He was the first in Northern Indiana to use embryo transplants. He sold cows to 14 countries around the world because of the cow’s pedigree. He held several milk production records with both state and national levels. Retirement did not slow him down as he became a member of the Elkhart Corvette Club for several years. He enjoyed autocross Corvette events. Then his passion for fast cars led him to compete in the Road America where he was a novice racer on the greatest road courses across North America. He was also an owner and operator of Kline Transport. His greatest love was spending time watching his grandchildren and their sporting events.

Surviving are his children Erin (Shaun) Edgerton of Elkhart, Erika (Dana) Redman of Orfordville, WI, Kandy (Steven) Reed of Cassopolis, MI, 5 grandchildren: Brookelyn Edgerton, Kylie, Karson and  Kaiden Redman and Brady Reed, siblings: Ronda (Randy) Stabler, Sharon Schlabach, Maurie (Dawn) Kline and Sandi Trenshaw.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Joseph Schlabach.

A service was held for Ronald on May 9th.
