December 4, 2019: Lovholm Holsteins has announced on their Facebook page that they were awarded Breeder of the Year at their recent Annual Awards night. Other excitement included Lovhill Goldwyn Sugar who was named Saskatchewan’s Cow of the Year!

June 18, 2019: Lovholm Holsteins recently had a Junior Champion win at the Alberta Dairy Congress Show. Summer Yearling Lovhill Jacot Apple Pie took the R&W Junior Champion honors. She is owned with Crestomere Holsteins, AB & Charlyn Farms, ON.
January 31, 2019: Lovholm Holsteins has updated their Facebook page with a look at some of their recent classification results. Lovhill T Dan Renita is now 7E! Congratulations Lovholm!
September 28, 2018: Lovholm had a fantastic day with the classifier with 5 VG 2 year olds and 2 new EX! They averaged 86 pts on 20 head and all but 2 animals had the Lovholm prefix!
June 20, 2018: Lovholm Holsteins is located in Balgonie, Saskatchewan, which is approximately 30 minutes east of Regina. It is owned and operated by Michael and Jessica Lovich. Both Mike and Jess were born and raised on family dairies in Alberta and made the move to Saskatchewan almost 3 years ago.
At Lovholm, which operates under the prefix Lovhill, there are 65-70 cows milking, approximately 20 dry cows and over 100 head of replacement stock. They also keep some breeding bulls for sale. The goal is to produce strong, healthy cows that are conformationally superior, milk well and can fit into anyone’s breeding program. Bulls are selected from proven cow families with a focus on type and functional traits. Currently, sires like Unstopabull, Sidekick, Tatoo, Army, Douglas, Jacoby and Diamondback are being 
used, the Lovich’s like a wide variety!
Notable cow families at Lovholm:
A broad scope of cow families are worked with at Lovhill. The Lovich’s say they are fortunate to not be limited by one or two homebred dams to choose from when we are looking to add daughters to our herd or embryos to sell. Some of these families include:
* Bienert Encounter Kim EX-90 4E, really put the Lovhill prefix on the international marketing map in a big way when her daughter, Lovhill Goldwyn Katrysha EX-96 was Reserve Grand Champion at World Dairy Expo and the Royal Winter Fair in 2014 and came back to win Grand and Supreme at WDE in 2015. Katrysha’s daughter, Lovhill Windbrook Kitkat EX-93 and sister Lovhill Sid Keisha VG-88, continue to make an impact at Lovholm.
* Stanhope Felicia Dundee EX-91 3E is a daughter of Dubosquet Rudolph Falou EX 2E 7*, and then 5 more generations back to the Hanoverhill Faye family. Two of her daughters Lovhill Braxton Foxy EX-93 and Lovhill Braxton Funky EX-93 have both had successful show careers, with Funky placing 3rd in the 5 year old class at World Dairy Expo last year.
* Lovhill Susy Adam EX-94 6E 4* has 5 EX, 4 VG and 1 GP daughters at Lovholm, a family line that continues to breed consistently
* Narcis Terrason Awesome EX 2E 2*, has one EX daughter and one EX granddaughter to her credit already, and a fancy ’18 granddaughter by Chief.
* Ms Apple Arusha, is a daughter of KWH Regiment Apple-Red EX-96 4E 21* DOM and is an exciting new addition for the Lovholm breeding program, she is owned in partnership with Cresotmere Holsteins and Charlyn Jerseys.
