Jersey All Americans to be Crowned in Louisville

The All American Jersey Show & Sale returns for the forty-first consecutive year to the North American International Livestock Exposition, November 3, 4 and 5 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Ky.

The first and second place entries in each class of all shows will be named the All American and Reserve All American winners for 2018 by the American Jersey Cattle Association. The shows will be streamed live from Freedom Hall via webcast.

The All American Junior Jersey Show is scheduled for Saturday, November 3. Tammie Stiles Doran, Woodstock, Va., will place the classes, with Sean Johnson, Glenville, Penna., serving as her consultant. Nearly 450 entries have been received for this year’s show, one of the largest youth-only dairy exhibitions in the world. Premiums of $9,225 are being offered plus an additional $5,000 in direct financial support for exhibitors provided by the American Jersey Cattle Association.

The 65th National Jersey Jug Futurity will award premiums of $7,540 on Sunday, November 4. From the 866 Registered Jersey heifers nominated in 2015, final nomination fees have been paid for 42 3-year-old cows. They will be placed by Kevin Lutz, Lincolnton, N.C. His consultant will be Louie Cozzitorto, Turlock, Calif.

The open division of The All American Jersey Show is scheduled for Monday, November 5. With premiums offered of $22,875, nearly 800 entries have been received. Herby Lutz, Chester, S.C., will judge the show for the second time. His consultant will be Lynn Harbaugh, Marion, Wis.

Two sales, both managed by Jersey Marketing Service of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, are scheduled.

The 66th All American Jersey Sale is the premier showcase for Registered Jersey™ genetics in the United States. There are 68 outstanding females cataloged for the sale which starts at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 4 in the Kentucky Exposition Center’s West Hall.

The 61st Pot O’Gold Sale on Saturday, November 3 in Newmarket Hall will offer 39 genomic-evaluated heifers that can only be purchased by youth between seven and 20 years of age. Presenting Sponsor of the sale is Cow’s Match® Jersey Blend from Land O’Lakes Animal Milk Products Co.

Both sales will be broadcast live with online bidding at Jersey Auction Live.

The All American Show & Sale is an annual production of the American Jersey Cattle Association, Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
