Applications being accepted for the Justin Parish Memorial Bursary

Applications are now being accepted for the Justin Parish Memorial Bursary. This bursary is available to 4-H Dairy Club Members who have never attended the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair.

Application deadline: October 1, 2019

This $1,000 bursary honours the spirit of Justin’s dream of one day attending the Canadian 4-H Dairy Classic Show at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair (RAWF). Presented by Robin and Connie Parish, the Justin Parish Bursary will support a 4-H Ontario Dairy Club Member in attending the RAWF in Toronto. The 4-H member must be attending the Classic Show for the first time as team member, fitter or herdsperson. The recipient will be chosen by a selection committee and notified by 4-H Ontario. Presentation of the bursary will take place in the show ring during the Classic Show at the 2019 RAWF.

Eligibility:
This annual bursary is in the amount of $1,000 and has the following eligibility requirements:

  • Recipient must be a 4-H Ontario Dairy Club Member in-good-standing
  • Recipient must have demonstrated dedication and passion toward agriculture and their 4-H Dairy Club
  • Recipient must have a demonstrated desire to attend the Canadian 4-H Dairy Classic Show at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair
  • Recipient must have never attended the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair as a participant or attendee

Submission of Member names must be made in the form of a one-page nomination letter from a 4-H Ontario Dairy Club Leader in-good-standing. The letter must demonstrate the Member’s dedication, determination, and passion to agriculture and 4-H Dairy Club, along with the Member’s desire to attend the Royal as a participant. A recipient will be chosen annually from the nominations by a selection committee in October.
