The 2021 Jersey Canada National Show was a tremendous success overall. Showmanship on Friday saw four classes with 47 participants. The National Show on Saturday had 205 animals enter the ring shown by approximately 41 exhibitors.
With the unfortunate cancellation of this year’s Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, this was the first national show Jersey Canada has held independently. It would not have been possible without a dedicated committee comprising Chairperson Doug Green, Jennifer Peart, Larry Sheardown, Jennifer Vander Meulen, Martina Arth, Doug Robinson, Jon Kingdon, Jeff Stephens and Richard Osborne, as well as Jersey Canada staff. Along with this all-star team was a stellar show day line-up of volunteers, hired hands and generous sponsors, without whom the show could not have taken place.
It was wonderful to see our members and their Jerseys back on the shavings, after what has felt like too long away.
