The Wisconsin Holstein Convention Futures Sale 2017 took place February 24th in Appleton, WI and averaged $6,215 on 26 lots, with a new record set for the high-selling price in the sale series.
The top seller in the sale was Lot 2, Lars-Acres Jedi Forest-ET, selling for $33,500. Forest is a +2765GTPI +906NM$ +7.3PL Jedi from a +2425GTPI Racer out of a VG85-DOM Shamrock, with nine more generations of VG & EX dams from the Markwell Bstar Raven family. Forest was consigned by Larson Acres, Inc., WI.
Second high seller was Lot 1, selling for $33,000. Shiloh-USA Flagship Callia-ET is the #3 Flagship at +2802GTPI, and +878NM +6.6PL +2.4DPR. She is out of a +2635GTPI Kingboy from a VG89 Mogul, and was consigned by Shiloh Dairy, LLC., WI.
Lot 8 was the third high seller, bringing $12,500. Ms SPKNJ H-Time Victoria is a +2716GPI +851NM +2.7DPR Hang-Time out of a VG85 Main Event from an EX91 Supersire followed by five generations of VG & EX dams from the Chief Adeen family. Victoria was consigned by Neil McDonah, WI.
The fourth high seller was Lot 19, selling for $10,100. S-S-I Penley Yoko 9786-ET is a March 2015 Penley, due in March with an ultrasounded Seattle female. Yoko is +2707GTPI +911NM +9.0PL +3.2DPR and is a daughter of Woodcrest Super Yellow VG85-DOM, from the same family as Yoder. She was consigned by Select Sires, Inc., OH.
Lot 9, a choice of three Jedi calves out of a VG85 Platinum from a VG86-DOM Man-O-Man with four more generations of VG & EX dams was the fifth high seller at $6,250. The choice was consigned by Matt Johnson, WI.
Rounding out the top six high sellers was Lot 10, selling for $5,000. Mayerlane-TE Danget *RC is a Denver from a VG88 Red Sympatico with six more generations of EX dams from the Budjon Redmarker Desire EX96-4E-GMD family. Danget was consigned by Don & Liz Mayer and Travis & Erica Ullom, WI.
