Springtime Show Window Brown Swiss Sale

The Springtime Show Window Sale was held on April 1st in Elkhorn, WI and was managed by Brown Swiss Sale Service, LLC. The sale averaged $2,741.

Topping the sale at $5,500 was Lot 1 Northill Kannon Lily EX90. Lily is the #21 PPR Cow and is sired by Kannon. She is out of a VG82 Special and was consigned by Adam & Kaitlin Spierings, WI and purchased by Riedland Farrms & Voegeli Brothers, WI.

Two lots tied for the second-high selling price of $5,000. Lot 58 was J&D Greenvale GB Holly, a January 2015 Golden Boy from a VG85 Titanium. She was consigned by Paige Welling, MN and purchased by Joe & Dannoa Speitz, MN.

Also selling for $5,000 was Lot 15 Hilltop Acres Hanna-TW. Hanna is a June 2016 Cadence from an EX90 Goldmine followed by five generations of EX dams, and was consigned by Tanner Mashek, IA. Rayme & Kristin Mackinson, WI were the final bidders.

Two lots also brought the third high price of $4,500. Lot 67 VB HP Seaman Paradise-ET is a December 2015 Seaman from a 2E-91 Zeus with five more generations of EX dams behind her. Paradise was the consignment of Brothers Three Brown Swiss, WI and was taken home by Gregg Christensen, WI.

Also selling for $4,500 was Lot 16 VoGrin SP Shananigans-ET, a September 2016 Supreme daughter of the 2012 All-American Senior 2 Year Old VoGrin Galaxy Shanigans EX91. Shananigans was consigned by Dennis Mashek, IA. Shananigans was the selection of Maddy Mahlum, WI.

Double W Goliath Deere sold as Lot 43 for $4,000 to bring the fourth high price of the sale. Deere is a VG86 Goliath from a VG87 Verizon daughter and was consigned by Double W Dairy, CO. She will be making her new home at Horseshoe Hill Farm, purchased by Joyce Uglow, WI.

The fifth high seller was Lot 8, bringing $3,900. Beu Dell Goliath Scarlett is a September 2016 Goliath from an EX90 Parker out of a 3E-93 Jason with five more generations of Excellent dams. Scarlett was consigned by JE & JD Beutel, WI. Scarlett was selected by Matt Appler, IA.

Rounding out the top six high selling animals was Lot 10, selling for $3,800. Powerline Bonanza Nixie-ET is a March 2016 Bonanza from an EX90 Premium daughter of Valligrove Jetway Nora 2E-93. Nixie was the consignment of Ronald Kelm, WI and was purchased by Linda Beranek and Myriah Klug, MN.
