The Ohio State Fair R&W Show took place on July 28th in Columbus, OH. Chip Savage of Union Bridge, MD served as official judge and looked to the young cow classes for his champions. Weeberlac Tickle Me-Red, the winning junior 2-year-old sired by Avalanche and exhibited by Alyson & Kenlee Philips of Lingleville, TX was crowned Intermediate and Grand Champion. Reserve Intermediate and Grand Champion honors fell to the 1st place senior 2-year-old, Ms Awesome Atomic-Red-ET, an Awesome-Red daughter owned by Schilling, Doebereiner & Bowen of West Salem, OH.
Avalanche also sired the Junior Champion of the show – Silver-Mist My Lady-Red-ET, the winning fall calf owned by Quietcove Farms of Wapakoneta, OH. The 2nd place fall calf followed for Reserve Junior Champion, Jacher Redhot Rose-Red exhibited by Korey Oechsle of Van Wert, OH and sired by Redhot-Red.
Premier Breeder and Exhibitor banners went to Yoder & McMahan of West Salem, OH.
