A huge crowd was in attendance at the Colac Showgrounds the night after the judging of the 150th Colac Show for the inaugural All Breeds Dairy Classic Sale.

 

Sale top of $9100 was paid for the milking Jersey heifer Murray Brook 3644 a/c P & A Lenehan. This outstanding young cow was classified VG 88 (max), she is by Bushlea Fernwood from an EX 91 Country dam inturn from a Golden from a Centurion. She was purchased by Greg Bryce of Green Pines Jerseys.

Next top Jersey at $5000 was Broadlin Bubbles 2662 EX 92 a/c L & L Broad this tremendous uddered 4 yo was bred down from 2 time Jersey Showcase Champion Echo Downs Silver Bubbles EX 93, she was purchased by Jackiah Jerseys of Garvoc. Top selling Illawarra was the exceptional 5 month old heifer Kearla Empire Milly 2nd (ET) a/c K & C Gass, this Jinnys Empire calf is from Clarefield Monarch Milly VG 88 twice over 11000 litres, a maternal sister to highly rated Sire Clarefield Mocha, she was purchased by B & J Evans of Laceby.

Holsteins sold to $4100 twice with Eclipse Cardinal B Jackie – Red a/c M & V McLoud she sold with AI contract interest to L McCarthy of Coragulac. Also at this price was Glenlochland Destry Beauty 5 a/c C & G VanLeerdum to Warren Bay P/L.
