Silvermaple Holsteins has been in operation since 1988, when Ben split off from his family’s farm with 40 cows. They now milk 110 cows in two DeLaval robots that were installed in 2017 and farm 300 acres.
The main focus of the Silvermaple breeding program is cow families, paying attention to components and production without sacrificing type. Notable families they work with are Markwell Bstar E Raven, Wedgwood Trixie Gibson, Dubeau Dundee Hezbollah and Krull Broker Elegance. The Cuthberts are also very proud of Silvermaple Damion Camomile EX-95 who was Intermediate Champion and Reserve Grand at WDE in 2011, and Intermediate Champion at the Royal the same year. Camomile is a 2X All-Canadian and 2X All-American.
