The National All Breeds Show at Livestock 2012 Incorporating Dairy Event

Schedules are now available for the National All Breeds Show staged over two days at Livestock 2012, the UK’s largest livestock specialist event to be held on Tuesday 4 and Wednesday 5 September at The NEC, Birmingham.

Organised by the Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers and managed by Holstein UK, the show has 300 stall places available. The class schedule will run throughout the two day event.

Tuesday will feature the individual cow in milk classes. The coloured breeds’ judging will take place in the morning followed by Holstein in the afternoon. Each will culminate with their respective championship, while the prestigious interbreed award with £1,000 at stake will be made at Wednesday lunchtime.

Wednesday commences with the showmanship classes, followed by junior coloured breeds’ classes, and in the afternoon the junior Holstein classes. Each will once again culminate with their respective championships.

“We look forward to welcoming the National All Breeds Show to Livestock 2012 for the second consecutive year,” says RABDF chief executive, Nick Everington. “Not only did the exhibitors enjoy the modern facilities including the purpose built milking parlour, but also the significantly larger audience at the ring side over the revised two day schedule.

“The National All Breeds Show proved to be an additional spectacle for visitors to the event which last year attracted 480 trade stands, and is continuing to build on its current format, offering comprehensive technical, business and financial information for the entire UK ruminant sector, and also provide a one-stop shop for all livestock farmers.”

The 2011 event attracted over 16,000 visitors representing 75% of the UK’s cows, together with delegates from more than 20 different countries. Visitors can arrive by car and drive either straight off the M42 or M6 to free parking or travel by train or plane as Birmingham International station and airport are on site, less than 15 minutes undercover walk away.

Schedules are available from the RABDF Tel: 0845 458 2711 or Holstein UK Tel: 01923 695200.
