New Zealand Dairy sector needing motivated people to stay internationally competitive

New Zealand’s primary sector needs 50,000 more people by 2025 to ensure it stays internationally competitive, says DairyNZ.
“There are plenty of opportunities for motivated people who want to learn new skills and find success in the sector,” says the organisation.

“There is a world of opportunities in dairying, with diverse roles ranging across dairy farming, agri-business and agri-science. People in the sector can work in roles supporting farm businesses, gain a great lifestyle, work with people, animals and technology, and improve and develop the sector with cutting edge science.”

The GoDairy website offers potential dairy workers information on school subjects, tertiary study and training, links to job search sites and information on DairyNZ’s awards and scholarships.

There are also opportunities to get social and connect with others in the sector.

The website is currently running a competition for a Fitbit Charge 2 to attract young people to the industry.

Competitions will be held every three months on GoDairy.
