JBS United Announces 5th Annual Midwest Dairy Conference

Scheduled for January 8 and 9 in Michigan and Ohio

JBS United will be hosting its fifth annual Technical Conference for Dairy Producers in the Midwest.  Just as last year, there will be two dates and locations, making it easy and convenient for producers to attend.  However, this year, the conference dates have been moved from early March to early January.  In addition to expert speakers and relevant presentations, there will also be various industry professionals and suppliers on hand to discuss producers’ needs with them in person.  The conference is free to attend, but attendees are asked to register in advance.

This year’s conference will be focused on… “Protein and Feed Efficiencies: Potential for Higher Profit.”  One of our featured speakers is Dr. Mike Hutjens, a respected Animal Sciences Professor with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  He will present on “Feed Ratios and Strategies to Maximize Efficiency and Milk Production.”  Our other featured speaker is Dr. Dan Luchini, the Technical Manager of Adisseo.  He will present on “Using Commercial Sources of Amino Acids to Effectively Lower the CP of Diets.”  There will also be a discussion of the JBS United Dairy Financial System (UDFS), which helps dairy producers document, monitor and track all their production input costs, and use that information to make better business decisions.
The January 8th location is the James B. Henry Center for Executive Development at Michigan State University in Lansing, MI (ph: 517-353-4350).  The January 9th Location is Sauder Village in Archbold, OH (ph: 419-446-2541).  There is no cost to attend the conference, which runs from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, and lunch is included.  Those seeking more information or wishing to register should contact Lisa Coverdale, JBS United’s Marketing Manager, at 317-758-2664 or 800-382-9909.  Lisa can also be reached via email at [email protected].
