Dairy farmer delegates from across the country will converge for Dairy Farmers of Canada’s (DFC) annual general meeting from July 14th to the 15th in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Hosted at the Westin Bayshore Vancouver, farmers will attend and participate in a series of discussions and conference sessions about the dairy industry.
Tuesday, July 14th, 2015 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
AGM called to order; welcomes from host province, City of Vancouver and BC Dairy Association chair, Dave Taylor; President’s Address by Wally Smith; introduction of DFC Board; auditor’s report and 2016 budget presentation; international trade report.
Wednesday, July 15th from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Marketing and Nutrition Strategic Plan presentation; remarks by Fuelling Women Champions ambassador, Jennifer Jones; presentations by Adam Vervoort, Bank of Montreal and Sharon Eistetter, Farm Credit Canada; guest speaker, BC dairy farmer Julaine Treur, on caring for future generations; generic dairy marketing plans presentations made by Strategic Milk Alliance and Les Producteurs de lait du Québec; remarks by Heart and Stroke Foundation’s CEO, David Sculthorpe; update from Executive Director, Caroline Émond; election of the President and nominations to the Board of Directors.
