Ricardo Campos, COO for the Genus ABS unit, comments: “This exciting new development is part of the on-going Genus vision of pioneering animal genetic improvement to help nourish the world.”
This alliance will bring many benefits to Genus and Genes Diffusion customers in Europe, Latin America and Asia. Ricardo continues; “The increased availability of diverse pedigrees in beef and dairy will bring greater genetic variability for our customers. By working together we can help improve profit for our customers through adding value to genetics.”
Genes Diffusion comments: “This is an opportunity for our farmer members to capitalise on Genus ABS’s long life cow focus, as they look to improve profitability. In addition the Genes Diffusion business will be able to market their beef and dairy genetics to new customers throughout the world.”
Longer term, this alliance will allow synergies for executing technological developments designed to help dairy producers increase their efficiency with regards to genetics.
