The sale featured a line up of home-bred animals from the heart of the herd, and was well received by buyers, averaging $14,509, with a $190,000 top on Lot 11, OCD Delta Missy 4202-ET. The Oakfield Corners Spring Sensation Sale was a resounding success on May 9, 2015. The sale featured a line up of home-bred animals from the heart of the herd, and was well received by buyers, averaging $14,509, with a gross of $1,117,400 on 74 live lots.
Top seller at $190,000 was Lot 11, OCD Delta Missy 4202-ET, a +2765GTPI January 2015 Delta, who is the #8 GTPI heifer from the April proofs. She is out of a +2369 McCutchen, with her fourth dam being Eastside Lewisdale Gold Missy EX95-2E. She was the purchase of Progenesis, ON.
Second high seller was Lot 94 at $175,000, OCD SS Free Willy 4224-ET, a February 2015 Supershot with a GTPI of +2708. She is out of a VG87 Mogul, with 8 more generations of EX and VG dams, including Markwell BStar Raven EX95-3E-DOM-GMD. She was the choice of Dan Lufkin, NY.
Rounding out the top three high sellers was Lot 19 at $70,000. OCD Supersire 9882-ET is a +2624GTPI, December 2013 Supersire from a VG88Robust, and then 8 more generations of EX and VG dams. Pine Tree Dairy, OH made her their final selection.
