Sandy Crest Milking Herd Dispersal

The Sandy Crest Milking Herd Dispersal of Don and Bill Carss and family, Arnprior, Ont., realized an average of $2737 (unofficial) on 40 cowswhen it was held on June 21st at Cherry Crest Holsteins, Martintown, Ont. This well-known Eastern Ontario herd has won three Master Breeder shields and many Premier Breeder banners at shows over the years.

Bringing the top price of $4500 was Bonnechere Timberwolf (VG-86-2y), a 3-year-old “Sanchez” daughter due later this summer to “Dempsey” and with first lactation credits of 208-193-195% BCA. She is from a Very Good-88 “Terrason” dam. This young cow was purchased by Bonnechere Holsteins and Glennholme Holsteins, both of Renfrew, Ont.
