Reflections of Maple Downs II 2015

Maple-Downs Farms II co-managed the sale with The Cattle Exchange (Dave & Merry Rama, Delhi) who handled the auctioneer duties.  There were 116 lots sold, with half of those hailing from Maple-Downs, the remaining were consignment animals from fellow Holstein breeders around the Northeast.

We had buyers from 11 states and 2 Canadian Provinces. There was online bidding available on sale day, where people could tune in to view the sale as well as submit bids via the internet.

There were 116 lots sold, averaging $5889.

The animal who topped the sale at $71,000 was Lot #1—“Maple-Downs-AL GChip Galina VG-89 2Y” who is a homebred 2 year old Holstein Cow purchased by Peter Vail, Valatie,NY.

2^nd High Seller was Lot #39- Erinwood Lucy Rae EX-92 for $31,000 to Mike Garrow from Chategeuay, NY.

3^rd High Seller was Lot #12-Ms Atlees Goldwyn Adeline EX-92 for $20,000 to Stanley Stiles, Berryville,VA.
