The Ohio Fall Production Jersey Sale 2016 was held on Saturday, October 22 in Wooster, Ohio. 126 head went through the sale ring at the Wayne County Fairgrounds, representing Jersey breeders from Ohio, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. Milk cows, bred heifers and open heifers had a sale average of $1400.

The Ohio Fall Production Jersey Sale 2016 was held on Saturday, October 22 in Wooster, Ohio. 126 head went through the sale ring at the Wayne County Fairgrounds, representing Jersey breeders from Ohio, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. Milk cows, bred heifers and open heifers had a sale average of $1400.

The top seller at $2200 was Lot 4, Clareshoe Premier Tiffany consigned by Steven Shoemaker from Salem, Ohio.  Tiffan is a July 2014 Premier from a VG83 MVF Mor 1172 followed by a VG85 BW Country. She was purchased by Vanderfeltz Jerseys in Lawton, Pa.

Second high seller was Lot 85, selling for $2150. Clover Patch Volcano Heidi a +19.6 JUI May 2014 Volcano out of a VG84 Legion. She was consigned by Neal Smith, Ohio. Fellow Ohio Jersey breeder, Sam Bok bought this bred heifer, due in a month.

Third high seller at $2100 was Lot 84, IGL Texas Monopoly-ET, also consigned by Neal Smith. Monopoly is a Nov 2014 Gideon from an EX90 Topeka with three more generaitons of EX & VG dams. She was purchased by J & Rachel Hodge and Greg Lavan, Norwich, OH.

Adrie Vanderjagt, Texas, was the volume buyer of the day, with 50 head purchased.

Sixteen different buyers from Indiana, Ohio, New York, Pennsylvania, and Texas took cattle home from the Ohio Fall Production Sale.
