March Madness 2016

The March Madness 2016 is in the books as a success, with an average of $6,800 on 104 Lots.

Top seller for the day was Lot 1 Greenlark Lucille Atwood, selling for $40,000. Lucille was the Reserve All-American and Reserve All-Canadian Fall Calf in 2015. She was consigned by Trent-Valley, Jason Mell, Pat Lundy, Aaron Eaton and MD-Hillbrook. Budjon & Peter Vail, WI placed the final bid.

Second high seller at $24,000 was Lot 7, Jacobs Doorman British, a September 2015 Doorman out of Jacobs Goldwyn Britany-ET EX96-2e. She was consigned by Ferme Jacobs & Ty-D Holsteins. British will make her new home at Glamourview, MD.

Claircrest Doorman Classical was the third high seller at $20,400, selling as Lot 40. Classical is a June 2015 Doorman from an EX92-3E Goldwyn, followed by six more generations of EX and VG dams. She was consigned by Trent Valley Holsteins, and purchased by Connor Butler, IL.

LOT B, a first choice Doorman, due in December from Jacobs Sid Beauty EX92 was the fourth high selling Lot at $18,700. Beauty was the All-American Junior 3 Year Old & Intermediate Champion at the World Dairy Expo 2015.  The choice was consigned by Eaton Holsteins and Brad & Cindy Murphy, and purchased by Budjon-Vail, WI.

Rounding out the top five sellers at $18,000 was Lot 3, Miss Jedabar  Armani Gem-ET. Gem was nominated All-American Winter Calf in 2015, and is an Armani from an EX93 Dundee followed by five generations of EX & VG dams. She was the consignment of Hill, Erbsen, Nabholz and Coonrod, and purchased by John Erbsen, IL.
