The Golden Memories Sale 2016, celebrating 50 years of Nabholz Farms took place on Saturday June 18th at Nabholz Farm on Neon Road in West Union, IA. Topping the sale at $69,000 was Lot 1, a Red September Defiant daughter of Apple.

The Golden Memories Sale 2016 was held on Saturday, June 18th at Nabholz Farm on Neon Road in West Union, IA.

The sale was topped $69,000 by Lot 1, Ms Apple Anastacia-Red-ET, a Red September Defiant daughter of KHW Regiment Apple-Red EX96-3E-DOM. She was consigned by Apple Partners, IA and was purchased by Alfie Stoltzfus, PA.

Second high seller at $23,500 was Lot D, a  first choice of three September 2016 Doormans from Arethusa Fever Almira EX92, the 2014 Unanimous All-American Senior 2 Year Old four generations of EX Ashlyn dams. She was consigned by Ernie Kueffner, MD.

Third high seller was Lot A bringing $23,000. This lot featured the only offering from Cache Valley Lheros 2331 “Dezi” EX96-98MS-2E Unanimous All-American & All-Canadian 5 Year Old in 2015. Selling was a first choice of two ultrasounded Sid females due in December, consigned by Larson, Kueffner & Nabholz, IA.

Lot 3 was the fourth high seller at $19,800, Ros262 Sid Lisa VG87. Lisa is a Sr 2 Year Old Sid daughter of Rosedale Lexington EX95-2E, followed by six generations of EX & VG dams from the Black Roses. She was consigned by Quality Holstein, ON.

Rounding out the top five high sellers at $19,250 was Lot B, a first choice MAS out of Strans-Jen-D Tequila-Red-ET EX95, the 2x All-American R&W & WDE Grand Champion. This choice was consigned by Milksource Genetics, WI

Lot 7 was the top selling Jersey Lot, bringing $16,000. Gil-Bar Baron Makita is Sr 3 Year Old that was the Intermediate & Reserve Grand Champion at the 2015 WI State Jersey Show, from a Primetime son, out of an Excitation. She was the consignment of Kueffner, Packard & Nabholz, IA.

Other Highlights included:
Lot 23, sold for $15,500…Tower Ridge Atwood Addie, a VG88 Atwood Sr 2 Year Old from a VG87 Damion, followed by six generations of EX  & VG dams

Lot C, sold for $15,100…first choice of 9 Doorman transfers made for June 2017 calves from Wendon Windbrook Mercy VG88 All-American Junior 2 Year Old 2015, followed by 8 generations of EX & VG dams

Lot 51, sold for $15,000…a March 2016 Doorman from an EX Goldwyn from an EX Durham followed by four more EX dams including the 1987 Reserve All-American 4 Year Old Quietcove Valiant Fawn EX95-2E-DOM-GMD

Lot 31, sold for $12,800…a Spring Yearling Dundee from an EX Goldwyn followed by an EX95-3E Formation followed by 6 generations of EX & VG dams

Lot 2, sold for $12,000…a Corvette Spring Yearling from  KHW Regiment Apple-Red EX96-3E-DOM

Lot G, sold for $10,500…first choice of a Sid or an Archrival, both due in December, from Silvermaple Windham Camille-ET VG89-2YR, the 2015 Reserve All-American & All-Canadian Sr 2 Year Old, a daughter of Silvermaple Damion Camomile EX95, 2x All-American & All-Canadian

Lot 19, sold for $10,200…a March 2016 Showdown from an EX92 Tequila, followed by an EX93 Response daughter of Veronica EX97
Lot 4, sold for $10,000….a VG89-2YR Tequila Jr 3 Year Old from an EX93 Comerica, followed by five generations of EX dams

Lot 46, sold for $9,500…a Gold Chip Jr 2 Year Old fresh in June from a VG87 Atwood, second dam is EX91-3E

Lot 17, sold for $9,400…a +191GJPI Reno from an EX90 Renegade from an EX93 Action followed by two more EX dams

Lot 41, sold for $8,500…a September 2014 Bradnick from a VG87 Baltimor

Lot 10, sold for $8,000…Schluter Stella Lee-Red, the winning winter calf at the Midwest Spring National R&W Show, a Red Defiant from a VG 88 Destry with 8 generations of EX & VG dams from the Renita Ranger family

Lot E, sold for $7,800…first choice of 4 Goldwyn calves due in October out of Dubeau Dundee Hezbollah EX92 the 2009 All-American & All-Canadian Senior 2 Year Old in 2009
