Fairview Holsteins Feature Sale 2015

On Thursday 21st May a large crowd gathered at Fairview Holsteins for a one off sale of some of their best pedigrees, including descendants from families such as Frantisco, Adeen, Frosty, Blackrose, Elegance, Ashlyn, Toni, Maughlin Storm and Missy.

Calves claimed to top price honours on sale day.

Top Price was $20,000 for Lot 3 a direct Windbrook daughter of Eastside Lewisdale Gold Missy EX95 14* the first ever daughter of a Million dollar cow to sell in New Zealand.  Purchased by a Syndicate.

Fairview Doorman Rosie Lot 15 was the next top at $13,100 a Doorman x Planet x Lee x Shormar Can S Rosa-ET-RD EX3 x Leader Rose EX91 x Stookey EP Blackrose EX96. Purchased by Bluechip Genetics and Toi Toi Genetics.

Lot 1 Fairview Atwood Rosabel 2014 South Island Champs Reserve Junior Champion was top Price In-calf Heifer for $11,000 also a descendant from Shormar Can S Rosa-ET-RD EX3, purchased by Daisy Downs Dairy Limited.

Lot 2 Fairview Windbrook Paula VG87 was top price Cow also for $11,000, Mated to Doorman, Paula’s 3rd Dam is Fairview Grand Paula EX2 from Lesdale Rod Paula EX. brought by Thomas Tilson.

The Fairview Holsteins Feature sale took place May 21, 2015 in Timaru, New Zealand. The sale concluded with a $6,570 average.

Top seller for the day was Lot, 3 selling for $20,000. Fairview WdGold Missy-ET was the first daughter of Eastside Lewisdale Gold Missy EX95-2E-14*  to ever sell in the Southern Hemisphere. Born in March, 2015, this calf was sired by Windbrook.

Second high seller was Lot 15, bringing $13,100. Fairview Doorman Rosie is an October 2014 Doorman from a VG88 Planet out of an EX Comestar Lee, with six more generations of EX and VG dams, including EX96 Stookey-EP Black Rose.

Two animals sold for $11,000, tying for the third high in the sale. Lot 1, Fairview Atwood Rosabel is a September 2013 Atwood, due in August to Doorman, from a VG 88 Shottle x VG87 Marshall x four more generations of EX & VG dams, including Stookey EP Black Rose EX96.

The other lot selling for $11,000 was Lot 2, Fairview Windbrook Paula VG87. Paula is a Windbrook due in September to Doorman, from a VG89 Toystory x EX2 Gibson x EX2 Fairview Grand Paula, the 2002 All New Zealand Senior Cow and South Island Champion.
