Badger Invitational Sale 2017

The Badger Dairy Club held its 18^th Badger Invitational Sale on March 11^th at the Stock Pavilion in Madison, WI and averaged $3,172.

The sale began with the presentation of the Dr. David P. Dickson Memorial award presented the the Brantmeier family of Hilrose Holsteins, WI, long-time supporters and alumni of the Badger Dairy Club & the UW.

Topping the sale at $8,400 was Lot 40 S-S-I Detour Maggie-ET, a +2688GTPI +860NM +8.9PL +2.3DPR Detour from a VG88-DOM Supersire from a VG87-DOM Bookem daughter of Roylane Shot Mindy 2079-ET VG86-DOM, followed by 8 generations of VG & EX dams from the Minnow family. She was the consignment of Mystic Valley Dairy LLC, WI.

Second high seller was Lot 11 at $7,700, Sandy-Valley MD Waikiki-ET. Waikiki is a +2726GTPI +853NM +8.5PL +2.1DPR Modesty from a VG85 Balisto followed by a VG88-DOM Numero Uno from 8 generations of VG & EX dams from the Rudy Missy family. She was consigned by the Bauer family of Sandy-Valley Farms, WI.

The third high price for the day was $5,700, commanded by Lot 10, Synergy Hang Time Dunk-ET, a +2665GTPI +859NM Hang Time from a GP83 Supersire out of a VG87 Oman. She was consigned by Synergy Farm LLC, WI.

Two lots brought the fourth high price of the day, selling for $4,900. Lot 9, Lars-Acres Mode Friction-ET, is a +2692GTPI +821NM +7.5PL Modesty from a +2425 Racer out of a VG85-DOM Shamrock followed by 9 generations of VG & EX dams from the Markwell Bstar E Raven family. She was the consignment of Larson Acres Inc., WI.

Also selling for $4,900 was Lot 5, Voigtscrest DB Atlantic-ET, a June Diamondback from an EX90-2E Durham daughter of EK-Oseeana Ambrosia-ET EX95-2E-GMD 2x Reserve All-American, followed by Tri-Day Ashlyn EX96-2E-DOM-GMD 2x All-American.

Two lots also sold for the fifth high price of the day, selling for $4,400. Lot 21 is a Junior 2 Year Old prospect due in July with an ultrasounded Diamondback female. Floydholm Armani Emmy is out of an EX91 Damion daughter of Rolling-Spring G Escense-ET EX95-2E, followed by seven generations of EX dams from the Elegance family. She was consigned by Lindsey, Ashlyn & Cole Sarbacker, WI.

Lot 15, Hilrose Reginald Pocahontas, also sold for $4,400. She is a Junior 2 Year Old Reginald due in April to sexed Diamondback and is a daughter of Hilrose Baltimor Penny-ET EX93, followed by an EX93-3E-GMD Rubens and then an EX93-4E-GMD-DOM Lee. She was consigned by Zachary Lemke, WI.
