Arethusa-Avonlea Summer Splash 2015

The 2015 edition of the Arethusa-Avonlea Summer Splash is now in the books, averaging $7,297 on 97 live lots and 7 choices, with a high seller of $105,000 in Lot 98 Arethusa Vaudeville Excitement VG-88, selling to Westcoast Holsteins, BC. She was consigned by Greta Koebel and Will Iager, MI.

The high selling heifer and second high seller in the sale at $53,000 was TLJ Santana V Maid, consigned by Travis Lehnertz. She is the top GJPI polled Jersey of the breed and was purchased by Progenesis.

Third high seller was Avonlea Comerica Velvet, selling for $26,500. Velvet was consigned by Vogue Cattle Co, P. Jones & C Fisher.

Fourth high seller at $25,000 was Arethusa Response Vanity, consigned by Arethusa Farm. She was the purchase of Brad Cullen & Matt Senecal.

Fifth high seller was Elliotts Tequila Reese, purchased by George Liberty for $21,000. She was consigned by Arethusa Farm.

Rounding out the top six high sellers was the choice of three Impression females: Impression Solstice, Sunshine & Solaris. The choice was consigned by Arethusa Farm and purchased for $20,600 by Jason & Jerry Luttropp.
