Ontario dairy farmers will receive their first interim payment on Feb. 1 under Dairy Farmers of Ontario's (DFO) twice-per-month payment program.

Dairy farmers will receive an interim payment on the first of the month and final payment on the 15th of the month for the previous month’s milk shipments. All payments will be made by direct deposit.An explanation of the interim statement was included in the January 2012 Milk Producer magazine on pages 12 and 13.

Interim statements will be available online only. An explanation of the final milk statement will be enclosed in the February 2012 Milk Producer magazine.

DFO will continue to mail a paper copy of final statements, but dairy farmers can cancel this mailing request if they are able to access their statement online.
