Did you know that in the last 2 years, dairy 4-H clubs across western
Canada have received over $45,000 from the Westgen Endowment Fund?
Our dairy youth have benefited greatly by your semen purchases from
Westgen, thanks to the two successful 4-H fundraisers Westgen carried out in
2008 and 2009. Westgen strongly believes in supporting the development of the
next generation of dairymen and dairy industry leaders. Therefore, we are
pleased to be able to offer this excellent fundraising opportunity again in 2010,
and once again the more you purchase, the more our dairy youth benefit!
Westgen will contribute 5% of all sales of proven and genomax semen
during March and April 2010 to the dairy 4-H clubs in the province in which they
are generated. In an effort to enhance this fundraising opportunity this year, we
will contribute 10% of your purchases of two of our most popular bulls, Rietben
Tee Off and Comestar Lavanguard.
We encourage dairy 4-H members to take an active role in promoting this
fundraiser to their neighbouring dairymen and thereby maximize the return to
their club. We also ask dairy producers to consider making a special purchase
during March and April as an easy way to support their provincial dairy 4-H
program.
