Missouri Spring Show Cancelled
   Missouri cow man Alton Ling, Springfield, MO, died on Tuesday, March 24. Part of the Robthom Farm family, Alton fought a couragous battle with cancer. At this time arrangements have not been made.
   Due to the timing of this event and the centuries of involvement of the Robthom family in the Missouri Holstein Association, the Spring Show Committee and the Executive Committee have decided to cancel the 2009 Spring Show so that the participants in this event will be available to support the family during this time of loss and grief. We understand that our dairy industry is like a family and it is important for us to be there for each other during times of trial and felt this was the best alternative at this time.
   All entry and sponsorship monies will be refunded. The Northeast Central District will hold a separate district show at a date and location to be determined. Junior points for the year will consist of only district shows and state fair. If you know of anyone who was planning on attending the Spring Show please help us get the word out to your friends and neighbors.
