Tasmania Dairy Products paying out competitive milk prices in 2nd year of operation
June 9, 2014

Tasmanian Dairy Products (TDP) has announced a sixth step-up in farmgate milk price for the 2013-14 season that is equivalent to two cents a litre.

TDP chief executive officer Tony Catania said recent autumn milk flows continued to be strong compared with last year and this had impacted positively on the TDP business.

Mr Catania said the sixth step-up payment was equivalent to 18 cents/kilogram butterfat and 38c/kg protein.

It will be paid to current TDP suppliers in cash on June 15, 2014.

“We are very pleased to be paying such a competitive milk price in only our second year of operation,” he said.

“Our current pricing is consistent with our objective of being a leading dairy processing company in Tasmania.”

Mr Catania said opening milk price details for the 2014-15 season for TDP suppliers would be released later this month (June).
