Perrine joins Accelerated Genetics as Assistant Vet

Accelerated Genetics is pleased to announce the recent hire of Andrew Perrine, D.VM., as the Assistant Staff Veterinarian. Perrine is a recent graduate of Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine. He will be based out of the Accelerated Genetics production facility in Westby, Wis.

His responsibilities will include maintaining the health of the bull herd by regularly testing each bull and tending to any other medical needs. Another large part of his position will include ensuring that quality semen is shipped correctly under both US and International laws with appropriate paperwork. He will work closely with Accelerated Genetics’ Staff Veterinarian, Dr. David Brown.

Perrine completed his undergraduate degree at Iowa State University where he majored in animal science and dairy science. While at Iowa State he worked at the Iowa State Dairy Farm and Iowa State Swine Research Farm. In addition, he has 10 years of experience working as a veterinary technician at Keokuk Veterinary Hospital, Keokuk, Iowa.  Perrine has completed several internships through the years. Most notably, he worked as a veterinary intern with Accelerated Genetics four years ago.
