National Dairy Shrine Announces Klussendorf, McKown Scholarship Winners

The Klussendorf Association and McKown Fund are excited to announce the seven $1,500 scholarship recipients for a total of $10,500.

These National Dairy Shrine Announces Klussendorf, McKown Scholarship Winnersscholarships are presented annually to students in their first, second, or third year at a two-year or four-year college or university in the United States or Canada majoring in dairy science, animal science, agri-business, or other related majors. In all, 72 students applied for these prestigious scholarships.

Three receive Klussendorf scholarships
Rachel Coyne from Spring Valley, Wisconsin who attends the University of Minnesota will receive a $1500 scholarship.

Elisabeth Regusci of Modesto, California who is attending Cal Poly receives a $1500 Klussendorf Scholarship.

Elise Regusci of Modesto, California receives the third $1500 Klussendorf Scholarship and is attending Cal Poly.

Four Receive McKown scholarships
Douglas Boop from Millmont, Pennsylvania who attends the Penn State University will receive a $1500 McKown scholarship.

Jared Dueppengiesser of Perry, New York who is attending Cornell University receives a McKown Scholarship.

Cooper Galton of Nunda, New York receives the third $1500 McKown Scholarship and is attending Cornell University

Elizabeth Sarbacker of Verona, Wisconsin receives the fourth $1500 McKown Scholarship and is attending The University of Wisconsin-Madison.

The Klussendorf scholarships are made available as a result of a gift from the late Klussendorf member, Chris Kampf, who won the Klussendorf award in 1956. Money raised by the McKown family and friends of the late “Whitey” McKown, named an honorary Klussendorf member in 1997, make up the funds available for the McKown Scholarship. The Arthur B. Klussendorf Memorial Association honors those who exemplify the characteristics and ethics of the late, legendary showman and dairy cattle fitter.
