Oakfield Corners Dairy has recently updated their website and Facebook page with exciting April 2018 sale consignments. They’ve also added information about their Growing Through Showing Workshop that will be held May 4-6.

Oakfield Corners Dairy is run and owned by Gordon, Jonathan and Matthew Lamb and Jim Veazey. The Lamb family has been farming for 11 generations, and has been at the current facility in Oakfield, NY, for 51 years. They have three facilities in New York and one in Ohio, with a total of 8500 milking and 8000 young stock with 99% Holstein.

Breeding Goals:
For the commercial operation, the goal is to breed a cow that is healthy and problem-free, produces high levels of milk and components, with sound breeding ability.

For the genetics side of the business, we breed for what the market wants – show winning calves and high GTPI females.

Genomic bulls being used…Sexed Select Semen Einstein, Pinnacle, Tarrino, HumbleNKind, Jared. For type… Solomon, Tatoo, Undenied, Avalanche.

Notable Cow Families:
Type:  2E-95 Edair (from the Elegance family), EX-94 Lucky Rose – 2017 HHM All-American R&W Aged Cow, EX-92 Rachelle – 2016 HM All-American Jr 3 Yr Old, 3E-95 Sara – 2017 All-American Aged Cow nominee.

Genomic: Danica/Delicious – many high GTPI offspring on farm including bull +3028 GTPI Pinnacle Diesel and his dam; Dellia/Uno Rae; Mirror/Raeden; Raven/Fame.
