Wisconsin Holstein Juniors Honored at Annual Convention

The Wisconsin Junior Holstein Convention has been taking place this weekend at the Glacier Canyon Resort in Wisconsin Dells, WI. The event climaxed Saturday evening at the Awards Banquet.

Highlighting the evening were the naming of the Outstanding Holstein Boy & Girl, the top honors in the Wisconsin Junior Holstein Association. Charlie Hamilton and Jessica Pralle were bestowed with these honors.

Four juniors were chose to represent the state at in the National Distinguished Junior Contest: Jordan Siemers, Elizabeth Sarbacker, Nicole Pralle and Matthew Kramer.

Other Wisconsin Juniors honored as Distinguished Junior Members included: Kristen Broege, Brooke Trustem, Austin Nauman, Andy Sell, Valerie Kramer, Logan Voigts, Elizabeth Endres, Kelsey Cramer, Danielle Warmka, Katherine Larson, Bethany Marcks, Carley Krull and Kayla Krueger.


National Younger Distinguished Junior Member candidates are Hannah Nelson, Kalista Hodorff, Kaianne Hodorff and Kylie Nickels. Other Juniors receiving Younger Distinguished Junior Member recognition included: Elise Bleck, Cole Booth, Madison Calvert, McKenzie Calvert, Hannah Hockerman, Ben Kronberg, Dawson Nickels, Drew Noble, Lindsey Sarbacker, Dylan Steiner and Erica Strauss.

Juniors receiving 12 and Under Member Recognition awards included: Brady Bleck, Ava Booth, Colton Brandel, Emma Dorshorst, Abby Gidding, Brianna Meyer, Cathryn Gunst, Christopher Gunst, Jacob Harbaugh, Kaydence Hodorff, Ainsley Noble, Emily Stumpf, Clarissa Ulness and Garrett Ulness.

A new Wisconsin Holstein Princess and Princess Attendant were crowned as well. Katie Kindschuh was crowned the new Princess, while Paige Nelson was selected as the new Princess Attendant.

Maureen DeBruin was named the WHY Friend of the Year by the Jefferson County Junior Holstein Association.

$16,000 worth of scholarships were presented to Wisconsin Junior Members, thanks to the dedication and hard work of the Scholarship Committee.
