David “Butch” Crack from Crackholm Hosteins was a warm hearted person and today we say goodbye.

Butch’s expertise, knowledge and warm hearted personality, gifted him with life long friendships and massive respect around the world. He will be sadly missed.

In 2007 Cowsmo had the chance to feature the Crack family in our Fall 2007 issue and one of the Crack’s most memorable moments as a family was covered in this quote.
“To have two out of three cows in the middle of the ring was incredible, said Butch. These were cows that we have developed and to get them in peak form and win, plus have my son out there with me- THAT was an incredible feeling.” (referring to Royal Winter Fair 2006 when Cristal was Reserve & Lysterine HM Grand Champion next to James Rose)
