Judge Rueths Comments on Junior Champion

"We've had a tremendous heifer show with a lot of tough classes and some tough decisions. The 6 animals I have pulled out are all exceptional in overall balance, style and symmetry. Today the 1st Place Jr. Yearling will be your Junior Champion. She's so stylish and well balanced and I give her the advantage over the 1st place Senior calf on her depth of rib, width of muzzle and overall power. Reserve over Honourable Mention, we talked about them in the Senior Calf class - the first Sr. Calf is just so stylish and has the advantage in how she tracks on her feet and legs.

More holstein background but truly appreciate the group of cows we have out here.  More balance and style and great udders. Tese are the kind of cows i like they have youthfulness and balance and style throughout.  Everyone has their favorites.  I like young cows with future.  This milking yearling is not the biggest but she has quality and style and has a great future.  Alot of milk in her and handles so well.  Advantage and has balance at side view being nicer in the rear flank.  I like the way her Fore udder blends into the belly well.  Reserve is showing more angularity and feminity and cleaner throught the bone as well as a freckle higher in the rear udder attachment.

Judge Rueths comments on Senior Champion

Always tough decision, showman, leadsman and judge.  Good type cattle and always been impressed with Jerseys in Canada.  Four year old class was unbelievable.  Dairy feminine and handles her milk so nice, true type model, feminine dairy and great udder. She uses her mammary system to go over the winning Senior 3 Year Old.  More definition of seam and teats are under nicer and hasBalance and big with dairy quality and Jersey breed character for her size. What a beautiful cow.  Close between the 3yr old and 4 year and more definition of seam all the way through and more depth throughout then the first 3yr old.

Tremendous show.  When you come to Royal to watch you know it will be a great show.  There are a lot of great exhibitors in the middle of the ring and a great job has been done in the barn by all the exhibitors.   Great pair of senior champions.  Beautiful femine cow so open and clean and her advantage in the mammary system to go over the Senior 3 Year Old.  This Senior 3 Year old uses her number of calvings and length of frame to claim Reserve over the Intermediate Champion and winning Milking Yearling.
