As we welcome the year 2012 with renewed energy for increased health and prosperity, it is our pleasure to announce that 21 new Master Breeders received their congratulatory news today. Fifty-seven percent (12) are first time shield recipients. Thirteen breeders were from Ontario, five from Québec, one from Saskatchewan, one from Nova Scotia and one from Prince Edward Island. Recipients will be honoured at a gala in Brandon, Manitoba, on April 20, 2012.
Master Breeder is the most coveted award for breeders of Holstein cattle. It distinguishes herds that
have the best ratio for breeding cows that possess the complete package of high production and
outstanding conformation, with high proficiency in reproduction, health and longevity. Congratulations to
